On September 8, 2024, the appraisal meeting for TEEEs latest product- compact dry-type air-core converter reactor-was successfully held.

The meeting was organized and chaired by China Machinery Industry Federation, with academician Chen Weijiang from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, academician Rao Hong from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Director Gao Keli of the China Electric Power Research Institute, along with experts from various institutions such as the China Electric Power Research Institute, China Electrotechnical Society, State Grid Energy Research Institute, China Southern Power Grid Research Institute, State Grid Hubei Electric Power Research Institute, Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization, Overseas Flexible DC Engineering Center of the Electric Power Research Institute, Power Construction Corporation of China East China Survey and Design Institute, Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group, Shanghai Electric Power Design Institute, State Grid DC Technology Center, Shenyang Transformer Research Institute, China Southern Power Grid EHV Transmission Company, Hunan University, and other related units attended the meeting. The meeting was also joined by key leaders such as Wu Yukun, General Manager of TEEE, and Deputy General Manager Zhang Deshun.

The meeting focused on the new reactor for offshore wind power project. The reactor was designed and trial-produced based on technical specifications, which include challenges such as compact size, lightweight, low loss, and high requirements for insulation and support structures. During the meeting, the committee reviewed summary reports on the product's development, type tests, and new technology searches. It also examined related documents on design, manufacturing, testing, and inspected the production site. After discussion, it was concluded that the main technical specifications had reached an international leading level among similar products and met the standards set by the organization. This marks a significant advancement towards the localization of major power equipment manufacturing.
